So much evidence and stories have shown me that Mental health patients get harassed by ER doctors and staff. The tax payers need to vote about getting the Mental health centers back to being open 24/7, Since Mental Health has taken tax cuts, There has been a rise on mental health patients having false charges put on them & being put in jail and / or prison , As well as them being harassed and beaten by law enforcement. Many times the ER dose not want to deal with someone mentally ill. So they decide it would be just easier to have them thrown in jail.
Society period would rather just get rid of anyone who is mentally ill for good , Lock them up and Their away the key.
My husband has only been ill for 2 years. And what caused us to have to go to mental health to began with was him not being able to sleep for almost a week (insomnia). Nothing else was wrong with him. But after taking the pills given for insomnia he started telling me he was hearing things. We went back. Yet more pills were subscribed, each time a little more and a little more, To the point he was taking 7 different medications! Ridiculous! I always wondered why so many meds? Well because he was depressed and couldn't sleep because of our living arrangements living next door to a per fest (WHITE SUPREMACIST). He had all he could take after 7 years of dealing with the guy. And supposedly the Phychs said Victor needed the meds. To deal with life period. The pills worked for a while so I thought it was the light at the end of the tunnel, I WAS DEAD WRONG! The pills made Victor more ill then he would have been with out them. But now he has top take pills for the rest of his life, Just so he can have a shot at even a half way normal life. AS WE LEARNED FROM HIS PSYCHOTIC EPISODE THAT LANDED HIM IN JAIL. But here in Shasta County GOD FORBID ANYONE GET DEPRESSED OR STRESSED OUT!!! Because no one cares about you. They will throw you in the pile along with the rest of the unwanted. If you should ever run out of meds loose them or they are stolen you WILL go Phychotic and YOU WILL GO TO JAIL. I know this from personal experience!
Someone needs to get the attention of the state of California law makers and help get mental health open again 24/7.

If provoked could be vilont, Do not taunt, hit or or act mean towards some whom is having a Psychotic episode. They may take it as a threat and feel the need to protect themselfs. IF YOU GET HIT. MORE THE LIKELY YOU WERE DOING SOMETHING TO SCARE THE PERSON SUCH AS BEING ABUSEIVE YOURSELF. PSYCOTIC PEOPLE ARE NOT BAD OR SOME KIND OF MURDERS ETC. They are people just like us caught in a dream state. If you love someone whom is ill make sure they take thier meds dayly, or they could go to jail and be sent to prison just because the cops dont know how to deal with a mentally ill person. The cops belive that the person is acting strange because they feel like it. THAT COULDNT BE FATHER FROM THE TRUTH!!!!! SOMEONE NEEDS TO TEACH THE COPS ABOUT PSYCOTIC EPISODES! TO MANY MENTALLY ILL PEOPLE ARE GOING TO JAIL , ONLY BECAUSE THE COPS ARE UNDER EDUCATED ABOUT MENTAL ILLNESS.
A lady I met once said: The lawenforsment in Shasta County are less then a foot from being behind that glass at the jail. ( I COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER!)
